Jonathan’s drumming and music journey began in the early 1980s.  My first love was trying to capture the feel of drummers such as Neil Peart, Steve Smith, David Weckl, and Alex Van Halen. While living in California, my best friend Larry showed me the RUSH video of Exit Stage Left with Neil Peart playing on Xanadu.  I was an immediate fan of RUSH and had to learn how to play the drums. My first studio experience was in high school in the late 1980’s with Berklee students on summer break.  While I considered a full-time career with drumming and music, my second passion for aviation in the end prevailed.
